9H OF CALAFAT

21.09.2019

9h marathon at Calafat/Spain

Endurance against wind at the beautiful racetrack in Calafat near the sea, the standard racetrack where eco Grand Prix was born in 2013 after Rafael de Mestre circumnavigated the world for the first time (www.80edays.com) in 2012.

Later – maybe inspired by eco Grand Prix – Formula-E decided to use this track for testing and modified it before eco Grand Prix 2016. In the 7th edition eco Grand Prix will be extended by 3 hours and will use the original Formula-E test drive course which includes more curves.

Starting fees:

  • for private team €200 plus €25 per driver
  • for sponsored private team €350 plus €25 per driver
  • for company team €1000 plus €25 per driver
  • Prices for pole position and second starting slot reserved for sponsoring company teams only.

Kids eco Grand Prix remote control competition for kids from 7 to 12 years in parallel to entertain the kids. Test drives with scooters and e-bikes are possible.

Drive as many laps as possible and relax after the race at the hotel at the seaside. No co-driver or guest allowed to drive in the car together with the pilot.

Driver changes allowed as many as wanted. Every team will get a 32A three phase socket and has to bring his own charging equipment. AC and DC mobile adaptors are allowed but no battery swap or buffering.

Winner is the team who makes the most laps in 9h in its car category, the right charging time and driving speed strategy will decide the winner. GP points are distributed only if the last year’s record has been broken.
