Endurance challenge driving on the longest and most winding mountain racecourse in Germany with beautiful landscape views. 12km climbing with more than 750m uphill in addition there is not a lot of rest range at the starting line – a challenge for electric cars you would assume …  

This challenge is part of the Germany Cup which is planned to consist out of three challenges. The Hill challenge of Schauinsland, the Hockenheim Challenge and the 24h of Oschersleben. All GP points will be counted separately in an extra ranking to identify the first winner of the eco Grand Prix Germany Cup 2019.

Helmets for driver and co-driver are NOT mandatory. Driver age min. 18 years. Unlimited charge stops are allowed. Battery buffering is not allowed. Max allowed charging speed 22kW. 

Charging infrastructure in clarification stage with service provider Strominsland. Rules are set up in cooperation with ADAC. Co-driver is mandatory; more passengers are allowed.

For private teams no car sticker or promotion on the shirt is allowed with the exception of the official sponsors or logos from eco Grand Prix, any kind of brands on tools or drinks used have to be covered with white stickers or stickers of eco Grand Prix sponsors.

Kids eco Grand Prix remote control competition for kids from 7 to 12 years at the start/finish venue.

EV second hand marketplace under discussion where private people or dealers can offer used electric cars (no hybrids allowed).

RACETRACK SCHEME

Fees until 15.05.2019:

  • €450 for private teams + €25 per driver
  • €3000 for companies and associations + €25 per driver

Starting with 16.05.2019, the fees will be raised.

Starting fees:

  • Start slots 1-5 are reserved for companies only
  • Pole position increase of €1000
  • 2nd slot increase of €500
  • Slots 3-5 no increase

GENERAL RULES

Only pure electric standard vehicles are allowed to start. Every car type sets its record on a racetrack to be beaten by the same car type. Every driver who intends to start in more than one race has to announce it before starting his first race.
The stewards will define the home race following the distance from his home to the racetrack. Points won abroad in the international series will count double. The points of all races in one season are added.

All drivers of a winning team get the same points. Winner are the ones who have the most points collected after the last race for their car category and the ones having the most points in the overall category.
